It's past midnight here in Namibia and I'm up early tomorrow. I have alot to say so I'll do my best to condense my ideas in this post.
Firstly realize that "rich" or "wealth" are subjective terms. You'll need to identify what you personally really want particularly in terms of lifestyle and possessions. Quantify it, make it tangible, there's more than enough to go around. Also realize that however you intend to go about this will take a couple thousand hours maybe more, this is where terms like "do what you love" come into play because it will make the commitment to your goals easier. Instead of simply telling you to "go out there and kick ass at what you love." I suggest you cultivate your passion like it's your child, intuitively chase your interests even if they don't seem to coincide stick with some of them then start connecting the dots, you'll eventually find that you are the only one or one of a few that have your particular set of "skills." "Thanks to neuroplasticity you can be whoever the fuck you want to be." My friend Ivo once told me.
Decide that you want to be rich as well, this is invaluable as it will open you up to opportunities you never noticed before. When you have a genuine and conscious desire to be rich you notice a lot more; market gaps, opportunities to serve, even the right people will start to manifest.
Thanks to books such as The Secret there has been a recent boom in New Age thinking ideals, you probably have the gist of what I'm alluding to. While I do agree with most of the ideas presented in such books, they miss out on one big thing, Contrasting your visualizations, yes without this your visualizations are just unrooted pipe dreams. You can't just deny your current reality you need to visualize exactly what type of life and THEN with joy, consider and accept where you are now and notice the gap then think of something, absolutely anything that gets you even an inch closer to where you want to be and ACT on it. Action produces waves and you need to make waves if you want to make it big my friend, even if it's just cultivating the habits your "rich ideal self" will have, get to it today, if you can't then you really don't want to be rich per say and that's fine, look for your bliss and chase it down relentlessly.
I want to live in New York one day, and continue manifesting the life I desire there because I feel my current purpose in life would be better fulfilled there, however I am an unemployed student so graduating and sharpening my personal skills is what I can and need to accomplish, in order to crawl even closer to the big apple, luck is on my side and it will be for you aswell.
I know that I truly can't really tell you how to be rich based on mine and other's experiences so you'll have to be aware and identify what works for you when you look at the big picture and start distilling your life around those personally identified principles, basically nothing I or anyone else has said on the topic will work until you go out and test it for yourself. What's your Ideal Life what do you think will get you there? All the best to you, make the journey an interesting one.
